How Do You Lace Shoes Differently?

There are a lot of different ways to lace shoes, and each one has its own advantages. Some people like to lace their shoes for style, while others do it for function. Some lacing methods are better for certain activities, like running or hiking, while others are better for everyday wear. And some lacing methods are just plain fun! Whatever your reason for wanting to know how to lace shoes differently, we've got you covered. Read on to learn about all the different ways you can lace your shoes.

Lacing for Comfort

If you're looking for a more comfortable fit, try lacing your shoes differently. One way to do this is to start from the bottom and criss-cross the laces as you go up. You can also try skipping a hole in the lacing as you go up. This will give your foot a little more room to breath. If you have wide feet, you can try using a shoe horn to help get your foot into the shoe. Once your foot is in, adjust the laces so that they are tight, but not too tight. You should be able to wiggle your toes a bit.

Lacing for Support

If you have a high arch or flat feet, you may need to adjust your lacing for extra support. For high arches, try criss-cross lacing. This involves threading the laces over and under the eyelets in a zigzag pattern. For flat feet, try lacing from the bottom up. This means that you start at the bottom eyelets and work your way up. You can also try using a special insole for extra support.

Lacing for High Arches

High arches can cause a lot of pain in the feet, especially when walking or running. To help relieve some of this pain, try lacing your shoes differently. Start by threading the lace under the second eyelet from the top on one side. Then, thread it over the top of the shoe and under the second eyelet on the other side. Repeat this pattern until you reach the bottom of the shoe. This will help to take some of the pressure off of your high arches and make walking and running more comfortable.

Lacing for Wide Feet

If you have wide feet, you may want to try a lacing technique that will give you a little more room in the shoe. Start by threading the lace through the bottom eyelet on the same side of the shoe. Then, skip the next eyelet and thread the lace through the one after that. Repeat this pattern until you reach the top of the shoe. This will leave a gap in between each set of eyelets, giving you a little more room in the shoe.

Lacing for Narrow Feet

If you have narrow feet, you might want to try a lacing technique that will help to take up some of the slack in the laces. This technique is called “criss-cross lacing”. To do this, start by threading the lace under the eyelet on one side, then over the eyelet on the other side. Continue this pattern until you reach the top of the shoe. When you get to the top, tie the laces off in a bow or knot. This technique will help to take up some of the slack in the laces, and will also help to keep your foot more secure in the shoe.
